LEADERSHIP TEAM UPDATE:
Hello! The leadership team at Valor for Veterans wanted to make contact with all of our valued supporters, donors and Veterans in our community.
We feel it’s vital to let everyone know what is happening here at Valor for Veterans and what is going on in the Veteran community.
Donors: First off we would like to say thank you all for your continued support and donations in these unprecedented times. Your help is greatly appreciated and is still very much needed.
Veterans: For Veterans visiting the page, requesting help… we feel what you are going through. If you are dealing with extra stress and depression please reach out to your Brothers and Sisters. Just talking can help. We are all in this together!
Valor for Veterans will continue forward on a limited basis. We will only be handling food donations at this time until our donation situation improves. Please fill out the application as normal. Please be advised that due to shortages in the supply chain not all goods will be available.
For rental assistance please call 211, your VFW or contact the United Way in your area. Let’s stay together and stay strong folks! We will all get through this!
THIS IS URGENT CARE
To qualify, you must fill out the form below, include a copy of your Member 4 DD214 form, and be able to prove that you have a plan for the next month. Upon receipt of your help request, we will contact you within 12-24 hours. If we do not get a response from you within 24 hours, your case will be closed.
We appropriate each individual case through our support system, with hands-on guidance from Team Crusaders as we help guide the process along the path on through to solution.
We take every case very seriously and sincerely try to help everyone, but do understand that by using this system, it is just a utility and can in no way guarantee or warrant any services or help gained through the use of this platform.
A NOTE ON “STOLEN VALOR” aka “Playing the Veteran Card”
Although we have a deep appreciation for all of our Veterans, we will not tolerate those who “take advantage of the system.” Unfortunately, there are individuals who play several non-profit Veteran organizations and resources to their advantage. These individuals may have disabilities, though are not in a “dire” state (although they claim to be) as many of those who truly and urgently need relief. Unlike many non-profit Veteran groups, we are likened to a “triage team” as our organization and systems are designed to help those in “urgent need” fast.
If any Veteran is found to be dishonest (lying, falsifying, etc.) these individuals will be flagged in our system. Fraud information will be shared with other veteran agencies i.e. VFW, American Legion, DAV etc.
