Christopher T (Kentucky):
I am writing on behalf of our family. My name is Angelea Torn, and I am my husbands unofficial CG. The PEB and surgery were scheduled and planned for. I had to stop working a month ago to facilitate our move to the new home, as my husbands injuries were not congruent with doing so. So I planned to get a job at Dollar General by the new house after my surgery. I have been hired and hope to start with my recovery from surgery pending. Two weeks ago my eldest daughter was hospitalized 60 miles away for 5 days. Then the day after my surgery I was admitted to the hospital for stroke like symptoms that turned out to be an autoimmune response. The hospital I was transported to by ambulance was an hour and a half away. It’s just been a messy month. My husband is 100% VA rated. He receives CRSC and is currently applying for SSDI. We are a family of 6, with 5 living in our home.
