I am desperately in need of food, car payment and assistance with uniforms/shoes and childcare payments. My household is myself, my 16 year old son and 6 year old daughter. Due to my daughter’s epilepsy, I had to curtail my military duty in DC. I returned home to NY to care for her full time. I was unable to work and care for her at the same time.This was 7/2017. Her neurologist deemed her stable recently. I can now return to work, etc. I experienced a great loss of income and a sudden one due to her unexpected decline last summer. I just completed the hiring process for TSA. I am awaiting a start date with an employer and I am undergoing the Jersey City Public Safety 911 Dispatch hiring process as well. I am attending school full time and awaiting my GI Bill and will begin Uber as well in the meantime. Going forward, I’ll be more than able to maintain.
