I am a service connected disabled veteran (70%), so I have a steady income. Usually, I am fine each month because I budget. Within the last 2 weeks, I had a roommate (who is now gone) who had his friend over, and collectively they ate most of my food – food that is supposed to last me for 30 days at a time. Last night I ate the last of my groceries, and currently, I am out of money and food until the next pay period (next Friday.)
