Joel C (Texas):
We have sold several things and come up with around 600 dollars which was already given to the apartments. We had gone to salvation army to attempt to get help but they said we were over the income Mark. They were counting my VA disability check. I am only getting 400 a month from the VA for to owing them a debt. As possible now the debt will be payed in full by February.
Kind of a snow ball… I was working for American gi form in Houston but I lost that job when hurricane Harvey hit. I was still receiving my VA disability at the time so I was able to make it but I did not have anything extra. Back in February of 18 I started real estate school. I graduated from there in March and the VA started taking money out of my check in may. I had money in my savings so I was able to get by but it took till August for the state to approve my real estate license. So we down sized, went to a cheaper apartment, and sold allot of our belongings. Now I am at a point where I am going to start receiving my commission checks next month and will be self sufficient again even without my VA check. I am just trying to stay afloat till then.
