Rory J (Flordia):
Electricity shut off notice received. Was able to get extension until this Friday (9/21/2018). Went to local facility and they won’t help. Say we can cut down on our expenses and pay it. But cutting down now won’t help pay the bill that’s due for shut off. We have cut our expenses for next month forward.
Wife is an uber/lyft driver at night in the orlando area. Car went into the shop on 8/20/18 for engine problems. Was expected to only have it 2 weeks, which we could handle. They have pushed it out to the beginning of next month for us to get it back because they have to put a whole new engine in it (costs covered by warranty) and the engine is on back order. We have a loaner from the dealer but can not use it for uber/lyft due to restrictions from the dealership. Wife was supposed to be back working the beginning of this month but has been unable to due to the vehicle situation. We put off paying the electric bill last month because we thought we would have our vehicle back and she would be able to pay that with money earned from working (as per usual) but with vehicle not being done she can not make the money.
